USING COLOUR FOR BEGINNERS WITH SALLY O'NEILL

Would you like to learn how to draw?  Do you have trouble mixing anything besides a muddy mess?  Do you work during the day?

It sounds like you need to come along to our introductory drawing class 'Using Colour' on three Tuesday evenings in May.  In this class you will learn how to effectively map your drawings, use the tonal value scale to create form and apply simple colour theory to develop dynamic and natural shadows.

This class is catered for a beginner to intermediate level.

WEEK ONE:  Learn about the tonal value scale and render a grey scale still life.  You will be  working both from life and from supplied images.

WEEK TWO:  Be introduced to simple colour theory and complete a drawing using complementary colours.  Images will be supplied for this exercise.

WEEK THREE:  Further your knowledge of colour theory through a small drawing in colour working with subject matter of your own choosing.

WHEN:  Tuesday evenings 2, 9 & 16 May 2017

TIME:  5.30 - 7.30pm

COST:  $50 for 3 weeks
