School Holiday workshops

SUMMER SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS

To beat the boredom the Gallery is hosting a series of fun workshops for kids over the Summer School Holidays 

CERAMICS WITH ANNA O'NEALE

Work with local ceramicist Anna O'Neale to craft a creature using air dry clay and found materials.  Return the following day to paint and decorate your work to add personality and charm!

WHEN:  Thursday 18 & Friday 19 January 2018.  Children must be available to attend both sessions.

AGE:  6 years and older

TIME: 10 - 12 noon each day

COST:  $40 per child

 

DRAWING TECHNIQUES

Develop and refine your drawing skills by completing a number of drawings under the tutorial of Education Officer and local artist Sally O'Neill.  In this class you will be introduced to a variety of artist quality drawing materials such as charcoal, ink and coloured pencils.  You will learn about the proportions of the figure and face, strategies for mapping your observation drawings and about the vanishing point.

WHEN:  Tuesday 16 January 2018

AGE:  6 years and older

TIME:  10 - 12 noon

COST:  $18-00 per child

 

LITTLE LINOCUTS

Be introduced to linocut printmaking in this 4 hour class where you will create your own 15 x 15cm linocut block and a range of wonderful prints from your own design.  Please be aware that we will be using sharp tools and messy inks!

WHEN: Tuesday 23 January 2018

AGE:  8 years and older

TIME:  10 - 2 pm

COST:  $18 per child

Please bring your own lunch and snacks.  Nuts are prohibited
