Outreach


 The gallery is committed to its Outreach program in the region and has an:
- ongoing partnership Schools as Community Centres (SACC)  targeting disadvantaged families without transport, many from Indigenous backgrounds.

-outreach visits to  outlying regional playgroups to provide creative opportunities for pre-school children
-new partnership established with the regional Goulburn Correctional Centre bringing Aboriginal artists to Goulburn to work with Aboriginal inmates, resulting in an exhibition at GRAG in November 2011
-ongoing partnership with House with No Steps providing weekly disability workshops for young adults with a professional artist in the gallery
- continuing collaboration with the the local Lieder Theatre  resulting in shared events such as a Youth Week & exhibition-associated performances with the theatre
-continuing partnerships with local community art/craft groups ie Woodworkers Inc; regional HSC groups; minority Heritage group & regional Art Award to show work annually in professional gallery exhibition space
 

 

Outreach for Playgroups


In conjunction with Goulburn Primary School (Schools as Community Centres) our Education Officer has been travelling around Goulburn and surrounds teaching under school aged children art making. Since 2012 the Gallery has visited  Tallong, Windellema, Taralga, Tirranna, Dalton, Goulburn East, Marulan and Goulburn Public . The playgroups are a fun way to meet other parents and allow children to make friends and have fun.
